SignHealth

SignHealth is a national charity which focuses on the physical and mental health of deaf people. It works with the NHS to look at ways in which they can improve the provision of specialist services for deaf people and takes feedback from deaf people to highlight the difficulties in getting communication support for a same day GP appointment or in hospital.

It works to provide deaf people with new options to ensure they can receive the information they need, when a qualified interpreter is not available. It also provides a range of specialist services for BSL users including health education and promotion, counselling, advocacy, outreach and supported living.
