Submit a planning appeal online (England only)

You can appeal against a planning decision using the Planning Inspectorate online appeals service. England only.

How to use this service

The online appeals service can be used for:

  • access restriction appeals
  • lawful development certificate appeals
  • enforcement appeals
  • listed building/conservation area enforcement appeals
  • crown land enforcement appeals
The site also provides information on the appeals process including:
 
  • under what circumstances making an appeal is necessary
  • costs
  • how long your appeal will take
  • next steps after the decision has been made
